VALIPAC BOOSTS
the use of recycled content in plastic packaging.
Doubling of the Bonus and Reinforced Support;
Valipac is actively committed to encouraging the use of recycled plastic in C&I packaging. To this end, we have introduced an attractive bonus system which will be further improved from 1 January 2025 on.
A doubled bonus for greater motivation :
The current bonus per ton of recycled material in plastic C&I packaging will be doubled to €100/ton. This significant measure is designed to encourage more businesses to adopt an eco-responsible approach and contribute to the circular economy.
Visit myRecycledContent.be to find out which packaging is eligible for this bonus and the conditions for granting it.
Personalised support to make the transition easier:
Valipac has developed a range of resources to help businesses easily integrate recycled plastic packaging into their operations.
- The myRecycledContent.be platform offers a user-friendly interface to search for packaging suppliers meeting the bonus criteria and obtain detailed information about the programme.
- A downloadable flyer presents the benefits of the bonus, the eligibility requirements and the procedure to follow in a concise and accessible way.
- Testimonials from customers who use plastic packaging with recycled content.
- Valipac’s customer service is also available to answer questions and guide companies through the process.
Multiple advantages for an eco-responsible approach :
Beyond the financial aspect, using recycled plastic packaging represents a concrete action in favour of the environment. It reduces the extraction of natural resources, cuts CO2 emissions and promotes recycling in Europe. It also helps to create jobs locally.
By adopting packaging containing recycled plastic today, you are anticipating compliance with European regulations which will require 35% recycled content in C&I plastic packaging from 2030.
In short, Valipac is putting in place a comprehensive scheme to encourage companies to adopt more sustainable packaging practices. The doubling of the bonus and the personalised support demonstrate the organisation’s commitment to supporting the transition to a circular economy in Belgium.
